This is my second stay at the Gem Hotel, and I’m still just as delighted. The staff are welcoming and helpful, and the rooms—though quite different in size—are comfortable. But the best part is definitely the breakfast, which I find delicious and very varied. I’ll wrap up by mentioning the Gem Hotel’s ideal location right next to the subway.

Great Hotel, Great Service, will definitely return
We had stayed here pre-covid so knew the hotel well. The hotel still lived up to it's excellent standards from before. We were staying with our 2 children this time and they were very accommodating, making sure they were alright. Staff were excellent, as well as the facilities, and the room was plenty big enough for all 4 of us. Would definitely return.

An excellent first stay at this hotel
The first time staying at this hotel whilst helping our daughter to move into a new flat. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and overall a great experience.

Enjoyed the stay. However, for the ambience of a historic hotel, why is there a MASSIVE TV in the small lounge area showing modern programmes? Suggest some quiet music fitting for the time of Earl Bowes Lyons.
