Lovely stay. Highly recommended!
We stayed for five nights with our two girls. Visit was for long overdue London tourism. The location is ideal, within easy walking distance of the tube. Staff in the hotel were very friendly and accommodating. I liked that the hotel had a nice bar and lounge. Breakfast was pretty good with a variety of options and a cooked selection. For London, the hotel was very reasonably priced. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would definitely stay again. Highly recommended!

A real gem - Super hotel & super staff
Having stayed at the Gem Strathmore 3 times now I would not consider going anywhere else for a London break. The hotel is in a lovely area, feels safe and very convenient for the underground - only a 3 minute walk away. I would always advise booking a superior room as this is an elegant building so some rooms are very, very small. This happened on my most recent visit as, although I did book a superior room, the one we were allocated certainly wasn't and when I spoke to reception they quickly changed it to a much more suitable one with air conditioning which was blissful in the hot weather and ensured we slept well. The breakfasts are very plentiful with a wide range of items to suit everyone from the full english to more continental tastes. All the staff are outstanding, very friendly, helpful and professional. My only concern would be for any guest with mobility issues as the steps to the front entrance are steep and high and there doesn't seem to be a ramp for any disbaled guests. Having said all of that I cannot recommend the Gem Strathnore highly enough - it is a superb hotel and great value for such a Gem!
