Truly a little gem!
I booked this stay through Secret Escapes and decided to upgrade from a single to a double room. The location of the hotel is great, just minutes from Soho and the West End, in a quiet street. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that a cream tea (delicious!) and breakfast were included in the price. We didn't have the chance to enjoy the breakfast as we were going out but I popped my head into the dining room and the food looked great. Some of the fixtures and furniture in the hotel are a bit tired, lampshades in particular need replacing. However my bathroom looked brand new, maybe they are working their work round the building doing upgrades. The staff were kind and polite, my cream tea was laid out with a white linen cloth and real care was taken. There is no air con because it's a rather lovely old building but you can open the windows - although my sash window was a bit of a struggle! The bed was comfortable and although the room was small it had tea/coffee making facilities. I paid £136 for a double room on a Sunday night with the inclusions I've mentioned. This is a bargain price for central London. I would definitely go back.

Fantastic hotel
Perfect location, fantastic price and was upgraded when I arrived. Staff are always so helpful and friendly. Lovely breakfast - I was on business but have also stayed for pleasure in the past. Highly recommend if wanting to stay in the West End area.

Convenient and comfortable.
The hotel has come a long way since I stayed there a decade ago. I think it may have been renovated. The room I stayed in was very clean and comfortable and had a great bed... so good that I overslept!
